From November 28 to May 5 at Manzoni theatre, eight concerts rom the Romantic repertoire to masterpiecies of the Twentieth century.
The Fondazione Pistoiese Promusica Synphonic Season 2015/2016 offers to Pistoia audience eight concert from the Romantic repertoire – Schumann, Chopin, Čajcovskij, Dvořák, Strauss – to the Twentieth century masterpiecies of Stravinskij, Ravel and Gershwin. The Leonore orchestra – founded just one year ago and constituted by young musicians from the most important european orchestras – will play the prestigious repertoire under the direction of Daniele Giorgi.
From November 28 to May 5 at Manzoni theatre, the Promusica Synphonic Season will bring on stage even great musicians as the pianist Alexander Romanovsky, the violoncellist Alban Gerhardt, the flutists Silvia Careddu and Michele Marasco and the soprano Rachel Harnish.
But in addition to the prestigious synphonic season promotion, in Pistoia the Fondazione Promusica is developing another great project: the diffusion of music culture in schools towards different plans. The most important is the social orchestra, a project edited by Massimo Caselli – Promusica artistic director – in partnership with Pistoia Municipality Social Services and Mabellini music school which allows thirty students of primary and secondary school to play an instrument totally free.
According to Daniele Giorgi, Sinfonica Promusica music director «music to exist must be spread in a fertile field. It’s so important to keep a collaboration with schools in order to awake children to listening. So, it will be possible to realize a people society that loves music».
