The opening features an in-depth article by Claudia Massi and Claudio Pizzorusso, dedicated specifically to Andreotti’s exhibition, revealing its background and historical significance. Anna Agostini retraces the history of the prestigious Vallecorsi Literary Prize, the institution that transformed Pistoia into a hub for the greatest figures in international literature and entertainment. A particularly moving passage is Maurizio Tempestini‘s tribute to Nick Becattini. The magazine celebrates the talent and human legacy of the Pistoia-born bluesman, a world music icon who passed away prematurely due to a serious illness. The event continues with Director Giovanni Capecchi, who meets with Professor Luca Gori, President of the Caript Foundation; Cristiana Petrucci and Pietro Giannini, who take us on a tour of a historic silk mill in the Sestaione Valley, Clarissa Tonarelli, who guides us through the beautiful Abetone Ski Museum; and Luca Magni, who introduces us to the strong connection between our city and fencing, a sport that has brought countless national and international successes. Naturally, there’s also plenty of space for the world of plant nurseries, with Alessandro Gnesini discussing sustainability and Lorenzo Baldi, with two pieces dedicated to the ESG Sustainability Report recently presented by Giorgio Tesi Vivai and the acquisition by Giorgio Tesi Group of the Drovandi Paolo company, a leading expert in succulents and cacti. The issue concludes with an article by Sara and Francesca Tesi on the upcoming poetry prize established by the Giorgio Tesi ETS Foundation, another on renowned coach Andrea Trinchieri‘s visit to the NATURART Village as part of a Pistoia Basket 2000 project, and another by Valerio Deho on Marzio Cialdi‘s art exhibition, also held at the NATURART Village in collaboration with the DIE MAUER gallery in Prato. This issue, then, skillfully intertwines historical memory with a passion for the present, confirming NATURART’s editorial mission to highlight the excellence of our region.
Naturart magazine is a territorial marketing project.
The magazine’s mission is therefore to rediscover the Pistoia region, exploring its forgotten beauties, its almost inaccessible or little-known locations. Through reportages and special dossiers enriched by the power of images (the iconographic project is central, and the photographic features are generous with previously unpublished, meticulously curated, and impeccable photos), NATURART is not only the primary showcase for local marketing, but, together with the web magazine Discover Pistoia and all the associated social networks, it fulfills the vital function of fostering that sense of pride and belonging that truly holds social life together. Indeed, it has become a Media Partner of the institutions and recognized by trade associations as a vehicle for promoting tourism and the culture of Pistoia and Tuscany.
The magazine is presented each year in evocative locations, attracting great public acclaim at its launch event. To promote Pistoia and the surrounding area on many official occasions and at tourism fairs around the world, NATURART is used by local institutions, which have commissioned special issues several times in the past, such as the one for the Ghent Fair in Belgium, commissioned by the Province of Pistoia and the Chamber of Commerce. Each issue is printed in a total of 5,000 copies, of which 1,000 are sent to a database of contacts in Italy and the remaining 4,000 are distributed in the city of Pistoia and the surrounding province. The summer issue, meanwhile, reaches 8,000 copies printed, of which 3,000 are sent abroad along with the nursery’s new production catalog, and is shipped to over 60 countries worldwide.
