Native to Asia and Europe, the Viburnum genus offers a wide range of uses for both the garden and parks, thanks to the different sizes that characterize the different varieties from small trees up to 6 m, to large shrubs of 2 .5 to 3.5 m, from bush forms to shrubs of average height from 1 to 2 m to small shrubs of 50 cm, among which stand out species and varieties with very fragrant blooms, with delicious and long-lasting fragrances, in particular the species and carlesii, burkwoodii, carlcephalum and farreri varieties.
Furthermore, the viburnum shows exceptional decorative fruiting, which begins very early in summer and continues throughout the season.
With some exceptions, most Viburnums adapt easily to the temperate climates of the Northern Hemisphere.
The publication therefore offers an important contribution to the knowledge of a species whose resources in the ornamental green sector represent a real and unexplored opportunity.
