Help through greenery, basketball, animations and hospitality.
To give a smile…We stand with Emilia” July 2nd and 3rd 2012 numerous people gathered in the Duomo Square of Pistoia with the scope of collecting funds to help with the reconstruction in areas hit by the earthquake that, unfortunately, have devastated entire areas of the region. The Giorgio Tesi onlus Foundation contributed in setting up the central square of the city in order to organize a basketball match where teams representing the city districts competed with the goal of winning the “Palio” between the Golden Lion, the White Dear, the Dragon and the Griffon.
Even the youth basketball of Pistoia participated in the Emilia Team which arrived from Cento (FE). The especially festive atmosphere was for the aspiring young athletes of Emilia and their families a moment of distraction and entertainment, while the Tuscans gave the possibility of demonstrating their affection that unites our regions. The guests were given special care and attention in the Pisoia houses of the Tesi Group and they were able to live like priveledged tourists for their stay.
The Giorgio Tesi onlus Foundation was presnt also at the “Pieve for Emilia day”, the event organized on June 20th 2012 in Pieve for the collection of funds necessary for the reconstruction of the Schools in the Comune of Camposanto in Modena. On that occasion the plants, donated by the Tesi Foundation participated in the “Gioco della Ruota” gaveIn quell’occasione le piante, donate dalla Fondazione Tesi, highlited the event.
Happiness for all the friends
A project of theatre therapy that lasted one year in order to help the youth with disabilites has received the support of the Giorgio Tesi onlus Foundation. The Association of volunteers, “Aurora onlus of Grosseto” was able to have their participants receive an educational and health itinerary that, with the set up of the performance “The happy friends” received surprising success.
Great passion and interest between music, words, movement and the preparation of scenarios and costumes allowed the success of the performance of the Teatro degli Industri of Grosseto. The hard work also infused a sense of joy and the acquisition of new security of self in those who normally would have a hard time freely expressing themselves.
We participated in the event in a wonderful evening that was created mostly for the “actors,” but was very emotional for parents, teachers, volunteers and the public as well.
