A walk between Pescia and Collodi, surrounded by medieval buildings, verdant landscapes, and nature.
The Fairy Tale Way is one of the more interesting walks in the Pescia area of Tuscany. Open to everyone, including children, this medium–difficulty circular route is recognized among the European Fairy Tale itineraries.
The trail begins on Via Sismondi in the center of Pescia. It then climbs the Monte a Pescia hills, where it continues through Tignano di Sopra, Fonte di Viamaggio, and Cella di Sopra until arriving at Collodi Castello, a hamlet set above the village made famous by Pinocchio.

From here, the route descends to the Villa Garzoni Garden, the Butterfly House, and the historical Pinocchio Park that are well worth the time to visit.
From Collodi, the Fairy Tale Way returns to Pescia by way of Marsalle and Pietra Munita.
